It may or may not work out cheaper, but is a lot easier, and that would be to consider installing a 2nd reflector with an appropriate LNBF. There is a complicated install that would allow for all 3 Hoppers to see each other, but it is a lot of cabling.
We are considering a 3rd Hopper for a long-time guest, but I am leaning towards a 2nd reflector install with the DPP 500 + (we do have services at 118) because it is easier with less points of failure and no additional power outlets being used in the home (we are very short on those with our video/audio equipment) to power external switches, and no need for that guest to be on our network, if they end up staying with us. Depending upon where one gets the equipment, the cost can between the two different solutions can be competitive.
