What is odd is that Harlingen HAS a PBS station....but its very unique
KMBH-DT2 (yes its a subchannel) is the PBS there. Its owned by MBTV TEXAS VALLEY

Its in HD so Dish could easily carry that. They usually only give you the national feed if there is no PBS in the market

The station they added is the national pbs station. If it was a local it would have the call sign and be on the spot beam with the rest of the locals.

KMBH was previously owned by the Catholic diocese until 2014. They sold it to MBM which converted the license to commercial and has since moved PBS to the .2 and added Cozi Tv to the main channel. Dish carries the Cozi Tv channel. I think eventually they will drop PBS altogether.

Dish carries the Cozi Tv channel.

because Cozi is on the -1 it qualifies for Must Carry. This is one of the rare examples where a diginet is carried on Dish (there are a few examples like this)
