2nd STB swap....channels lock when changing

This is the 2nd. STB I have been given. Running 6.20 firmware. Chicagoland area. When I change channels fast the box locks up and I have to soft reboot. Sucks to wait for the PG to catch up.....why has there not been a software revision to give the option of forcing the PG to download with high priority, even if there is no content displayed while the PG is coming through? Furthermore, why has there not been some kind of priority given to fixing this bug, as this is the core immediate function after pressing the power button..i.e.--changing channels! The main thing is why this channel freeze happens and continues to happen. I must say it is getting VERY annoying and can turn into the kind of thing that makes me an ex-customer.

Also, if anyone can give me the real dirt on this one: Here in chicago my CBS OTA channel 2.1 does not come in. I told the CSR I wanted my CBS so to make sure the installer coming to swap my box was aware that I need something done about getting my CBS tuned. Recieved call from Intalls Inc. rep who said it was a hardware(upgrade dish) issue. Installer comes and literally twists the OTA antenna 1/2 inch to the right and now I can see stuttering on CBS 2.1 Installer tells me that I only need to have the OTA antenna moved about 1 or 2 feet higher(from its current 8' height), but he is not authorized to move it because he is not getting paid for it. What is the deal? CSR from Voom tells me Installs Inc is responsible for getting the locals tuned in. Installs Inc I get 2 different stories. I was even told by Installs Inc that nobody within 10 miles of the Loop(downtown) can get CBS 2.1 I just want the straight truth from somebody.

They need to point the antenna up slightly, off of horizontal. Also, you tell the doctor it hurts when I do this, he tells you "don't do that then".

So, quit changing the channels. It locks up the box if you change the channels. Use the program guide instead of the channel up/down. I only use the channel up/down to get the audio to show up after I tune the channel if the audio doesn't show up.

We can only hope that the STB with the DVR will be a better box than this Motorola POS.
