211k with built in G3 card

I just purchased a new 211k I called dish to activate it. I asked if they would send me a new smartcard for it. They say that 211k's do not need it, that they have it built in.

So I just wanted to share this with everybody. (Probably everybody already knew this but me)

Does somebody know what model numbers others than the 211k have the G3 card built in as well ?

its easy to check. go to

Menu 6 1 3 NEXT then Next again

until you see DNASP

if your box says 206 or less then you will need a new smart card.

if it says 241 then everything is ready to go no card needed.

I know my 722 I had installed back in June or July had the G3 smart card built in already. I pointed at the Easter Arc when it first became available with no issues.
