2013 NCAA Basketball Tournament

I am SO excited about the Orange...and scared at the same time. Michigan looked amazing. But Syracuse's zone has been scary. Marquette had ONLY 12 baskets the ENTIRE game.

Should be fun next weekend.

Michigan over Syracuse. Not a homer pick. My friends accused me of this when I made my bracket picks. I explained how Michigan would explode on this tournament because the play would not be as physical as Big 10 basketball was. Syracuse has peaked at the right time, but zone defenses are broken by perimeter shooting. If you watched Michigan during this tourney, you know what's coming.

Louisville over Wichita State. Do I really need an explanation? Cinderella goes home and mops the floors. Forever.

Michigan over Louisville. Wishful thinking homer pick. LOL!!!

Louisville over Witchita is a no-brainer; Cards will be too much for Cindy. Michigan vs. Syracuse is the game everyone will be watching. Both teams are playing outstanding ball, and both teams can win this game if they execute. I like how this young Michigan team has matured over the course of the season: ran up a 16-0 record versus non-conference teams, then took some lumps and lost some close contests against some very good Big Ten teams. To be honest, the Wolverines played fine at home...just not very well on the road while in front of a hostile crowd. Another thing going against Michigan is that Syracuse will have a full week to study film and prepare for their meeting. Conversely, the Orangemen haven't faced such a quality run, shoot and ball control team like Michigan this season. I'm not going to pick this game but [hopefully] we'll be cheering Michigan on to victory on Saturday.

Syracuse played Louisville TWICE and beat Indiana in the round of 16. And they are 2-1 against both the teams that have been ranked at #1 the longest.

Michigan will find the perimeter shooting in Atlanta much harder,Syracuse's 2-3 zone is stifling.

Syracuse over Michigan
Louisville over Wichita St.

Ya i dont care to watch basketball. Its not that the SEC has not done well in the last decade I just dont care for the sport. I mean I cant be to mad at my Gators this is like their 4th Elite 8 in a row. thats pretty dam good. Specially considering before that they won back to back championships.... And last year wasnt there like 3-4 SEC teams in the sweet 16 or something like that? And didnt an SEC team win the title last year? or the year before. Anyways just dont care for basketball so dont discuss it ;)

I don't watch basketball much either, only at tournament time, thats about it.

We just find it funny that yall don't cheer conference.... Until you do. ;) that was my only reason to do the cheer in this thread.

Posted Using The New SatelliteGuys Reader App!

Up here we don't claim OUR team won if the other conference team won.

IF Michigan goes on and wins it this year, You won't see me saying that my CONFERENCE won.

My team is out ... If M wins, great, they haven't won in a while.
Better than another conference, yes, it's a nice change of pace.

I knew I could get the sec boys going .... :D

I like your thinking ...

If M shoots like they have lately, they'll win.

Just remember, OSU was playing good ball and shooting well going into the game the other day, winning 11 in a row I think it was, they went cold and went home.

Can't believe I'm gonna say this, but : (Basketball this year only )

Go Blue !

That said, M has a full week to disect the Cuse Zone D.

If your hitting 3's from 30 - 35 ft, you won't have to worry about it.

One reason Michigan has a perfect 20-0 record playing non-conference teams is that the non-conference teams played mainly zone defense which Trey Burke shredded. He is one of two or three players in college basketball who can control a game. Elsewhere, Hardaway has been quiet and he's due for a big game. Should be a good game between two very good teams.

Hot shooting will have to keep michigan going, they are a streaky shooting team, hopefully the great shooting goes a few more games :)

Still, I feel the week off will benefit Syracuse since they have a more veteran team and a better coaching staff...plus, Michigan had momentum. Regardless, I'll be cheering for the home team.

I heard that same thing about Kansas. In today's NCAA, experience means you weren't good enough to enter the draft. I'll take talent.
