2011 SEC Football (Home of 7 of 13 BCS Championships including the last 5)

A lot of talent on both sides of the ball for both Boise State and LSU. Plus, LSU made all those turnovers count for something. It is one thing to force a turnover but is something completely different to make them count on the scoreboard which LSU did. I think it is going to be hard to stop LSU this year with the talent they have on both sides of the ball not to mention an impressive special teams.

Or 15 and 16th? If the SEC does in fact go after WV or Missouri.
Oklahoma is debating whether staying in the Big 12 or pursuing a move to the Pac-12 makes sense for the long-term stability of the school's athletic interests, including weighing the idea of leaving the footprint of neighboring states that makes travel easier for the Sooners' passionate fan base.

A source with knowledge of the situation told ESPN.com that the Sooners were perfectly happy in the Big 12, even after Nebraska left for the Big Ten, thanks to the conference's new 13-year television deal with Fox worth $90 million annually and three remaining years on an existing contract with ESPN/ABC that was paying out $65 million a year. The money was split among 10 teams instead of 12, thanks to the loss of the Cornhuskers and Colorado, which ended up in the Pac-12.

However, Texas A&M's announcement to leave the Big 12 next summer started the process of Oklahoma reconsidering its situation, the source said.

SEC Games this week:

OOC
Alabama @ Penn State
New Mexico @ Arkansas
Northwestern St. @ LSU
Southern Illionois @ Ole Miss
UAB @ Florida
Central Michigan @ Kentucky
Cincinnati @ Tennessee
Ucon @ Vanderbilt

Conference Play
Mississippi State @ Auburn
South Carolina @ Georgia

Alabama/Penn St. and the Miss. St./Auburn games should be the good ones this week. UC/Tennessee could get interesting as well.

Not to sure about that. Even the Penn St. people here are talking about the Tide Rolling all over them. :p

Georgia/South Carolina should be good though. It'll probably eliminate Georgia from the East and setup South Carolina taking it later when they play Florida.

Im looking forward to the SC/Georgia game as well.

As for Penn State, we better hold on to the ball. Gonna be a tougher game than the score will probably indicate.

In the Big10 thread there was talk about Woody Hayes and his temper. Made me think of Bear Bryant when he was in his last few years. Although he didn't go batshite crazy like Woody, he had no tolerance for being interviewed or being asked stupid questions during halftime. Dug these up on youtube. Smith, you will like these. ;)

And my favorite...

Although LSU only beat him a couple of times during my life as a Tiger fan, I kind of miss the Bear. :D
