Is it possible that Eli Manning is regressing?! Even in a win, he looked terrible. The Giants would've lost to most other opponents last night.

besides all the injuries on that team this season, does he really have anyone good to throw to? i don't know that he does.

I would not even put the Jets in the top ten. Seriously.

Eli is such a strange case. The Giants basically traded Phillip Rivers, Shawne Merriman and Nate Kaeding for Eli. Sounds ridiculous, but Eli has a ring, and Rivers does not.

The Giants (and Chargers) also passed on Roethelisberger in that draft.

To me Eli has been above average at best, but you cannot deny he came up huge in three road playoff games to get the Giants to the Super Bowl, and also played well when the Giants beat what may be the best team in NFL history in the Super Bowl.

The Jets are 2-0 and have held their opponents to a league low 27 points. You are the reverse homer. Always pretending to give your team a hard time only to cushion your feelings if they fail.

LOL listen to Dr. Sigmund HDMM!

Well, I am not pretending in this case. The Jets had no right winning that Cowboy game. They were thoroughly outplayed, and as I read in this thread, their defense was shredded for 55 minutes.

Difficult to be positive after the Jacksonville game. Not even sure what that was. McCown was inept, and the Jets offense wasn't much better. The Jets were trying to let Jacksonville stay in the game, but McCown would have none of it.

If it makes you feel any better, the NY airwaves are filled with calls from Jet fans who feel the same way I do.

Can the Jets rebound and do what they did last year? Of course. I never saw that playoff victory against New England coming last year, so I've been wrong before. But I would not call them a top ten team based off their performance the first two weeks.

That's 50% of the games they've played so far!!!

Sandra

I understand that, but I also remember last year and the havoc that defense wreaked on their opponents. If you could, would you trade any other defense in the NFL for the Jets?

The Jets defense in their prime? No. The Jets defense the way they played against Dallas? Absolutely!

I think the toughest matchup to predict in Week 3 will be the Packers vs Bears. They're both really good teams and I think that game could go either way. Hopefully the Packers will lose so when the Lions beat the Vikings (and they will because the Vikings pretty much suck at this point), the Lions will be 3-0 and they'll actually be 1st in the NFC North!:D

Well the JETS will get tested this weekend by the Raiders. Raiders offense has 58 points in two games minus most of the entire receiving corp. I am gonna assume the JETS and everyone else will see the bet way to neutralize the Raider pass rush is the short game Fitzpatirck displayed on Sunday. IF they go with these long developing pass routes, they are gonna see a nasty pass rush. Chan Gailey did an amazing job with the line and the play selection.

The Jets will have serious difficulty stopping McFadden.

Next two games for the Lions will let me know where they may be going. They go on the road to play the vikings which next to lambeau has not been a kind place to the lions then they play the Cowboys. I will feel pretty good if they can be 3-1 after four :)
