2010-11 NFL Season

Sorry, but your quote was "Jamarcus had a wonderful second season as a starter. 11 interceptions, 3 TD's, a 2-7 record and he lost his job"...He lost his job in the THIRD season. He had a pretty decent 2nd season. He started his 1st 15 games which led to hope. Better than Mark Sanchez's first 15 starts. There are the stats to prove it:

You are comparing Russell's second season in the NFL. I'm talking about his second season as a starter, since he barely played in his first season in the NFL.

So you can throw out all of the number you like, that is not the point of my discussion. I'm comparing Russell's second season as a starter against Sanchez's second season as a starter. In Russell's second season as a starter he had 11 interceptions, 3 touchdowns, a 2-7 record and he lost his job. So far Sanchez has done a little better than that. ;)

Yeah, I know, Russell's second season as a starter was actually his third season in a Raider uniform. We get that. I'm comparing them as starters, which you would think would give Russell an advantage because he had a 'red shirt' season to sit and watch and learn and play some, which Sanchez did not. Sanchez was thrown right into the offense.

Interestingly, during the first quarter melt down of penalties, the majority of them were FALSE Starts with an occasional holding thrown in for good measure.

The False Starts really baffle me.... nothing is happening, these penalties are self inflicted, the other team can't even set you up for them, they happen BEFORE the ball is snapped for gosh sakes. UGH.

2 of them were from the center! How does that happen?

Again, you are wrong what what I was comparing...I was comparing their 1st 15 games as starters the FIRST time that I brought it up long agon and now. Which would be Sanchez's 1st season with JETS and Fat-Boy's 2nd season with the team. You scoffed at the comparison long ago and then brought it up AGAIN. So, again, I threw the facts right there with the links as the REPUTABLE location to find the info.

Again, say what you want and spin it anyway you want, the fact remains, after their 1st 15 starts as NFL QBs(one being his 1st year on the team and two being his 2nd)....Fat-Boy had better all around numbers on a crappier team.

You're talking about their first year as starters. Fine. I've moved past that.

I'm talking about their second years as starters...where Russell had 11 interceptions, three touchdown passes, went 2-7 and lost his job. So far in his second year as a starter Sanchez has done a little better than that. ;)

EXACTLY!!! This is what I've been saying all along. You can make numbers say anything you like by which numbers you use, and how you use them. ;)

Yay! We agree!

The only numbers that don't lie in professional sports are the ones in the W and L columns. Write that down. In ink.

Sandra

Stats do not lie.....period.

We got a game tonight- anyone interested in Bears/Dolphins?
Almost 25 years to the day that the Dolphins knocked the scary good Bears from the ranks of the unbeaten. That game was played in the old Orange Bowl, and was one of the most famous MNF games of all-time.

The Bears remind me of the Bengals last year. A fraud team with an over rated quaterback, using smoke and mirrors. Who will get smacked in the playoffs.

Killing ????
It was 6-0 at the half, they scored 10 points in the 3rd ....
Dolphins are not doing anything , but it's hardly a Killing.

They are TOTALLY dominating the game....therefore killing them. It's 16-0 and it ain't even that close....

The BEARS had only 12 sacks coming into this game...they have 6 already...!

After looking closely, ya, your right, it was a Killing ....
I had the game on, but really wasn't paying attention to it.

Dolphins suck ass. Injuries starting to pile up.bad coaching last night .don't know why they are getting away so much from the running game. We still don't have a qb since 1999 . Parcells left way too early.job wasn't done.I have no trust in sparano nor Ireland to improve this team for next season. Marshall is starting to misbehave.I understand his frustrations but don't do stupid stupid things on the field to hurt your team. They just plain stink right now.

I think Big Tuna never got HALF way to completing the job, in all honesty. He QUIT because he does not like the ownership. The Dolphins, IMHO never gave Henne a chance. They have a very good OC and because of the conservative ways of Tuna, which was passed down to Ireland and Sporano, they never opened up the offense. I also think there is something seriously wrong with Henne's elbow. I read in multiple places and overheard that a couple of DRs think Henne should have Tommy Johnn surgery, but he refuses to.

They have a decent defense....and a lacking offense. The offensive line is decimated and therefore, unless the RBs do some fancing dancing when they get to the line of scimmage to get free....the entire offense will just stall....as you saw last night. Next week, they have to go to Oakland...a team desperate for recognition and in the playoff hunt with a chip on their should. It does not get any easier.

There's a reason or two we got rid of Marshall, we'll see if he starts acting up off the field, now. Keep on losing! Our 2nd rounder just keeps getting higher!! :p

Our Brandon (Lloyd), ain't doing too bad this year!! :D

His frustration is completely understandable. With him coming to Miami...it was expected to open up the offense...but they have done no such thing. There is NO legit reason he should have only ONE TD catch.

I agree with pretty much everything you posted.parcells always said he would leave if Wayne sold the team.I didn't know henne was having elbow issues. I have seen his progress go in the opposite direction which has me worried .he has physical talent.I'm beginning to doubt his mental ability. At times it seems that the game is moving too fast for him.
