2009 Stanley Cup Playoffs

Here's to a Game 7, guys!

Sorry, I don't see this happening. The Wings are on top of their game right now. They're playing puck control again as evidenced by the Duck's meager shot count yesterday. Ozzie was so idle yesterday I saw him texting on his cell phone between shots.;) Mind you, we're doing this with Rafalski, Draper, and Kopecky all in street clothes. It's nice to have depth.

Loved Datsyuk's flipping the puck over the goaltender from behind the back of the net.

The Duck's may win game six, after all it is in your arena, but the writing is on the wall for this series. I've had to eat some words before in my time here, but I just can't see a reversal of what I've seen the last two games. The Duck's tried to use intimidation to overcome the talent deficit, and the Wing's didn't back down this series, they're even outhitting the Ducks. The only thing standing in their way now would be an outstanding goaltender, which the Duck's do have. But they have to find a way to stop the barrage, and get some shots off of their own.

I just don't wanna see the post-game congratulatory line-up done here in Anaheim.

PLUS this rivalry begs for a Game 7!!!!
I have to agree with Paul on this one. This series just has the "feeling" the Wings will take care of business in Anaheim; the Wings are getting better each game, and the Ducks haven't looked like they were ready to play the past two games. I am not saying the Ducks cannot win this series, but they had better find some motivation and turnaround their play if they hope to make a comeback in this series. Except for Pronger, it's hard to dislike the Ducks. Not a lot of big names on the team-->they are just a well-coached team that hits hard and does their jobs. We shall see what happens tomorrow night.

Great game going on between Pittsburgh and Washington this evening. The Penguins were up 1-0 after the 1st period, but Washington has battled back to take a 2-1 lead in the 2nd, and Pittsburgh just scored on a powerplay to tie the game 2-2 with a under a minute to play. The final period should be a good one!!! Another thriller unfolding in Mellon Area.

Wow! Another really good game going on in Chicago. Vancouver came back from a two goal deficit to tie the game after two periods of play. The final period should be a good one as the Canucks are fighting to stay alive and force a game seven.

Wings Injury update

Rafalski could play in Game 6

Associated Press

ANAHEIM, Calif. -- Detroit defenseman Brian Rafalski could be back in the lineup Tuesday night when the Red Wings look to eliminate the Anaheim Ducks in Game 6 of the Western Conference semifinals.

Rafalski practiced with the Red Wings on Monday after skating on Sunday. He has been sidelined throughout the second-round series -- which Detroit leads 3-2 -- with an upper-body injury.

"Obviously if the coaches and myself feel I can contribute in any way, there's a good chance I'll play," Rafalski said after the Red Wings' 30-minute practice.

While Rafalski may be returning, Red Wings coach Mike Babcock indicated that center Kris Draper, who has missed the series with an upper-body injury, will not be available for Game 6.

Having Rafalski back would be a big plus. You know...as much as I like Chelios, I sometimes cringe when he comes on the ice. I think it may be time for him to retire after this season.

I don't worry when Chelli is on the ice, that said, getting Rafalski back would be a big boost to the offense, particularly on the Power Play :up
