Well looks like I am going to Game 1 on Thursday at Chavez Ravine. All you can eat Pavilion.. Looks like I will be consuming at least 3 Dodger Dogs and at least one Nachos..

Can you send me a couple of them? I wouldn't mind a couple of burgers either. Can't get In and Out burgers in the Carolinas. I'll trade you for some Carolina Barbecue or Philly scrapple. You thought I was going to say Philly cheese steak.

Joe Girardi is seriously considering going to a three man rotation against the Angels.

The way the ALCS schedule is set up, it does make sense. Only C.C. Sabathia would pitch on three days rest (Game 4, next Tuesday in Anaheim).

With the off day in Anaheim between games 4 and 5, Burnett (game 5), Pettitte (game 6) and Sabathia (game 7) would all be pitching on full rest.

It would also deepen an already deep bullpen to have Joba out there.

TBS had it highest ratings ever last week. For the first time in it 40+ year history, they had more viewers in one week than any other week.

They should ALL be on a 3-4 man rotation ALWAYS .... I'm not sure when teams decided to go with a 5 man rotation .... it was a stupid idea.
Then came the pampering of pitchers .... what ever happen to pitchers throwing complete games and throwing every 4th day.......

Pro96, you are the man. Not only do you like dogs and burgers but you posted a picture of my 64 Chevy. Mine was lagoon aqua and ermine white. I loved it so much I drove my brother from the Philly suburbs to San Diego when he was in the navy. I bought it the first day they were sold in fall of 63. Now if we could only convert you to a Phillies fan you would be almost perfect, like me. Please use all your powers to defeat the Yankees.

Not to mention, CC will be pitching this Friday and he hasn't pitched since last Wednesday.

Excuse me if someone else posted this but not having the game start till Thursday and Friday and having the World Series go till November? Give me a break. They need to do something about that. If teams wrap up a series early they need to push up the starts of the playoffs.

Not sure what the logistics are involving pushing up starts of the playoff series. There are stadium and other issues to consider.

Also, what if the AL series both end in three, but one of the NL series goes five? Then only the AL series gets pushed up? What if the ALCS goes four, and the NLCS, which was already pushed back, goes seven? You could have a team from one league waiting a week to ten days to play. Be careful what you ask for...

You can blame the November World Series dates on two things: The league stretching out the division and league championship series NBA-style, and the late start to the season because of the World Baseball Classic.

Because of the huge broadcasting agreement in place MLB has given Fox (and to some extent TBS) the leeway to determine when the games will be played. Fox gets the right to maximize the ratings and ad revenues for the nights they want. That's why it won't change.

MLB has already stated that WS games will start at 8pm now.

Well that plan isn't working. The World Series Ratings have been low for years. They did get a boost back in 2004 but it's not like the old days .

Believe me, with all...and I do mean A-L-L the staffing involved (MLB, FOX, media from all over the world, etc.) it is literally impossible to have flexible dates for a major 4-7 game behemoth like the World Series. Last year with that rain in Philadelphia it was an absolute nightmare re-arranging dates and making sure the THOUSANDS involved were covered with hotel accomodations, adjusted travel dates, etc.

NO CAN DO!!!!!:no
