2 TV setup question

I note that the HR-20's etc are two tuner receivers. I am setting up a room with two tv's on the wall and was wondering if you can output each tuner to separate tv's from the same box and operate each independently? Of course I could just buy a second box for the second tv, but would like to avoid it if possible. Will it work?

no

1 box = 1 tv. you can split the sig coming from the box but you will see the same program on both tvs

ok, could I play a recorded show on one tv and watch live on another? In other words is there any way to get two signal outputs out of this thing? Why have a second tuner and not make it available for a second TV or PIP?

It could be done, but would require additional decoder chips, etc., since the current design only has a single output. That would increase the cost.
