2 Receivers on one connection

Hello- Looking to connect 2 receivers on one connection. This is what I have, Dish LNB, one wire runs from this into the house, then to a switch, then to the 722k. I would like connect another 722k using the same cable. Running another cable into the house isn't an option.

I installed a regular splitter and It kind works but I keeps getting "total signal loss" frequently on both receivers. Wondering if there's different kind of splitter / multiswitch is needed. If so can someone give the model or a link to it.

This isn’t cable TV. You can’t split the cable. Each receiver has to talk to the LNBs idividually. You need direct coax from each receiver. You say the coax from the LNB comes into the house and goes to a switch. Can you tell us what kind of switch that is?

Like Bobby said you will need another wire from the dish if you want to add another 722K. There is no way around that.

You should disconnect that splitter you hooked up before it causes damage to one or both of the 722K's.

That might work with what we call "legacy" LNBs, but it most certainly will not work with DIshPro or (what you probably have) DishPro Plus LNBs with integrated switch.

I think you are stuck dropping another line from that LNB that you have now. That one cable is already feeding two tuners on your 722. About the only solution I can think of is to get a Hopper 3 and switch to the hybrid LNB and switch. That puts 16 tuners on one cable.

That switch he linked needs 2 wires anyway.
