2 HD Questions:

Couple of questions:

1) I'm a DHP customer, and looking for the best way to add HD to my plan.

I have a HD Sony TV, so I don't need the HD in a box thingy.

2) Friend bought a 65" Mitsu HD TV, and has cable, but wants to get Dish only for HD programming. She tried OTA via the TV (which has a built in HD tuner), and could not get any signal. She tried Comcast's HD, and found out the reciever has an issue that makes the regular programming almost unwatchable.

Any thoughts?

you can get dish network's hd package ala cart if you'd like, runs $10 plus a $5 fee to only have the HD. Your problem is going to be getting an HD receiver from them.

Yeah unfortunately 811's are hard to come by at the moment.

Yep. Like I've mentioned before, the 811s are about as common as a virgin in a whorehouse right now.

Sears had 811's, got mine in 4 days, they might still have them.

You will pay $399.00, some Sears have price matched Dish's $199 offer.
