Did A&E ever say what they were doing with the content that was on H2? Will it just be moved over to History? Hopefully some of the actual history shows that were on H2 (even though they were reruns) will replace the all day marathons of American Pickers and Pawn Stars.

When H2 was History Channel International it was didferent and had some value. Watching Russian WW II documentaries certainly presented a different perspective on the war even if I disagreed with some of it. But at this point neither H1 bor H2 show much I would call history. If there are fewer episodes of Ancient Aliens that would be a good thing.

I miss the "old" History Channel and History International too. I also miss the Biography Channel. You could actually learn something of real educational value on those channels, the programming, at that time, was educational and entertaining.

Before the change, H2 was advertising that their programs would move to the History Channel.

If they wanted a chance then they should have aired something other than 12 hrs of idiots sitting at a table listening to stupid voicemail messages as their introduction to subscribers. Now they have the same 4 or 5 hrs of programming looped for the rest of the week. This is by far the biggest waste of bandwidth out there. I'd watch shopping channels in Spanish all week, before enduring anymore of vice

You do realize their official launch wasn't until today right? Starting last night at 7 PM was a teaser of all their shows, but the official launch isn't until 10 PM tonight. And I rather a cable network loop all their originals than showing syndicated programing you can get elsewhere. Much easier on already congested DVRs.

EDIT: Also it's 6 hours of programming, 2 hours a night for Tue-Thurs, Friday will have movies for the foreseeable future, and Monday's don't have new programming yet.

Doesn't really matter what their official launch was. They put that sh!t on the air and in the guides and that was the first everyone saw of it.

You obviously like the channel so enjoy it . I for one have blocked it and hope the crap fails and is removed. It is the perfect example of the biggest problem with paytv. At most they should have sold this as a programming block to another channel, it sure as hell doesn't deserve to be a separate channel once again forced upon everyone to pay for.
