1k.2 WA LNBF to EA LNBF question.

My sister has a 1000.2 dish pointed at the Western Arc, but our locals in HD for the Paducah, KY market are on the Eastern Arc 61.5* sat. If I were to purchase and install 1000.2 Easter Arc LNBF, would it work just by getting a signal lock, or would I need to contact DISH and let them know that I switched over? In other words, would DISH need to change any equipment authorizations or anything like that on their end?

Just to confirm... I've switched arcs as well.... no problemo! Just a check switch is all you'll need to do.

It's on the account, but I've found it can be wrong. Only real beneficial information is when/if a tech notes NLOS for a particular sat, that's helpful.

You may not want to contact Dish, if they note on the account that the dish is EA, WA may not work if it would be need to switch back.

make sure you have line of sight to the EA before you repoint the dish

also if there are any non-hd recs on the account, they will not work with the EA lnb

Put a wing dish up for 61.5 and just leave the WA as is.That's what I did.

If you don't have much experience pointing, a wing dish will be much easier. Port 4 on 1k2 in an input to add it in, just feed into the existing lnb.
