111 Receiver and 1000.4 Dish-No signal

Have a DP 111 receiver and am trying to hook it up to a 1000.4 Turbo HD dish. Why am I not getting any signal?

The EA dish is mpeg4, I don't think the DP111 will work except for the little amount of sd channels on 61.5.

The receiver will get a signal in Point Dish but since it can't decode the MPEG4 then no channels will be received.

If it only gets MPEG2 the signal meter probably wont work on 72, 77 or most of 61.5

You will need to switch to a 1000.2 (or western arc) dish

No, it can pick up the signal on Point Dish just fine as it is still capable of 8PSK. MPEG4 vs MPEG2 is just a difference in the data stream, not the actual signal itself.

Also there is the option of the WA LNB for the 1000.4.

But the real question is: How did OP end up in this situation? More info is needed.

didnt know it was capable of 8PSK.....figured that one didnt

Yeah... Nobody ever thinks about the little 111. I forget half of the time too.
