I have the 1000.2 and I am getting 129 on the center LNB and one 119 on the left (when looking from behind). The azimuth setting here was 44. I marked the pole here.

I adjusted the dish to the left and found 110 on the center LNB at azimuth of 36. I marked the pole here.

With only the center eye uncovered I scanned in between each azimuth setting at one degree increments while rotating the dish between the two marks on the pole. About 10 steps between the pole marks and about a 5 sec wait at each step. Took a while and I still have no luck finding 119.

The skew is set at 114 as directed in the 1000.2 manual and according to the manual the azimuth should be 38.

The pole is very slightly off plumb (pointing south east).

What am I doing wrong ? Thanks

If the center lnb is still covered, you should not get 119. Better way is to cover the outside lnb's and try to find 119 using the center one after you get the pole plumb. Being slightly off does make a big difference. Which transponders are you using to find 119? It could be one not viewable in your area or with your equipment and would not give you any signal even if you were on it.

Raise the elevation a point or two and try that, on my install I found the elevation to be higher than the instructions indicated, not much but enough to make a difference

The center lnb is uncovered and I am using transponder 1 that shows up as "footprint" when receiving 119 on the other lnb. It is the strongest transponder.

I have tried 1 or 2 degrees more in elev., guess i could try more.

P.S. Does the skew have an affect when you are only trying to get one sattelite on the center LNB ?

Thanks

Installer aligbed the dish again and it is now right between the lines and at 1/2 the azimuth values I had found for 110 and 129.

Aparently you have to run check switch before you can see the signal ???

I was in dish pointer mode the whole time and never thought of rechecking the switch when the pointer test didn't show a signal.

I am having the same problem. I get 110 at a level of 71, but cannot find 119 so only get some of my channels now that I have upgraded to the 1000.2 dish. Do you have to run check switch for every increment? It never used to be this hard LOL

If you have the outside LNBs covered and you're getting 110 on the center LNB, the dish is too far east. Move the dish 8 degrees to the west to find 119. You may need to raise the elevation a couple of degrees if you can't find 119 after moving west. Otherwise tell us what LNBs are covered or exactly what your info screen reads for connections, port #s, etc.

have to keep rescanning OTA locals on Dish 622 DVR
