Does any one else have this problem ? Every time I turn my TV in the living room on it goes to the DTV info channel or doesn't come on at all until I pick a channel. Also HD channels take a few seconds to come in. This is only on 1 of the 3 receivers that I have. I also do not have the guide info on my HD channels.Very frustrating.

this MIGHT be an issue with your "favorites." I agree that a reset is called for but also check on the faves. It could be set to something goofy.

I'm still confused as why turning on the TV causes the DirecTV receiver to change to ch 200. My guess is that the receiver is already on ch200 when the TV is turned on. How are you turning on the TV? Are you using a Harmony remote (or some other programmable remote) that may have been programmed to have the receiver change to 200 when the TV is turned on?

as jdspencer said. are you operating your receiver with the directv remote or a harmony remote? :)

Using remote supplied with the receiver.I leave the receiver turned on all the time and when I turn the TV on it hesitates for a few seconds and then goes to that DT instruction channel. Also, as i said, the HD stations come right on in my sun room , but can take as long as a minute in the living room and the guide always says To Be Announced on the HD stations. I have tried the red reset button.

sorry for all the questions but we're trying to help you. sorry if you did post this but, what you have in the living room is a HD dvr and in your son's room you have a HD receiver or are they both just HD receivers?

swap the receivers and see if the one that's giving you problems does any better in your son's room. if it doesn't then your receiver needs to be replaced. if it does then we'll go from there.
