Well I've ended up doing 2 reboots tonite, the 1st one to see if I could get the unit to record and the 2nd one after I lost about 80% of my HD feeds from the 1st reboot. All the HD channels came back after the 2nd reboot but at this point i'm wondering what's next? :confused:

Well I just ran into a major quirk! :mad: I recorded 2 shows tonite, I watched the recording light being on the whole time while I was watching basketball. Well I just went to those shows and both of them won't play. When I click play, it does straight to delete/no delete. No video whatsoever...

Ooops, no "R", how could I have missed that? The uselessness of the RF on the HR20-100 is well documented. I'm not sure if it's downloadable fix for it or if it's just an inferior manufacturing problem but when I saw those download upgrade, I had a dash of hope. That has since dashed away. :)...

Got it! :D On Demand Beta is alive and well, for about $14 dollars for a Netgear switcher w/ $15 rebate and two Cat 6 cords. It was a simple plug n' play.

Just to update, I have the Netgear switcher connected and both my HTPC and HR20-100 are connected with no problem. I did a system test to be assured of a successful connection OK, now what?? I went to On Demand in my menu and nothing happens. I went to ch. 1000 and there is no channel. So...

This sounded like a good idea til I Googled Westell 327w and saw all the headaches that computer literates like myself are having plus the fact that I don't need to go wireless and don't want to if I don't have to. I don't mind cables for this receiver hookup. I think I'll look into this...
