It doesn't matter to me who is the "problem". I subscribe to a service, if that service ceases to provide what I value then I'll switch to one that will. Dish has made a business decision and so will I.

I've been a Dish subscriber for almost 17 years but this is getting old really fast. I spoke to a CSR and she said they are getting hammered over this, way more than they expected. I still have access to FNC via my broadband provider but if this isn't resolved soon I'm done with Dish.

Thanks for the feedback everyone! I think I'll try disconnecting the RF antenna on the hopper to minimize the possibility that some of my other RF devices (ceiling fans, X-10, weather station) might be causing the problem.

I'm having a issue with IR becoming disabled overnight. Several times now my Hopper has stopped responding to IR commands after going into standby, the Dish remote still works. I check the settings under Remote and IR has been reset to disabled. I can re-enable IR but the receiver will not...
