    Splitting signal *after* reciever?

Ah Ha! Thanks. You rock. The separators only work with DP Plus. I see. But you are saying I could still diplex the TV2 out signal on one of the two drops from the DP34. That is easy enough. So, the DP Twin LNB has the SW21 built in, right? So I only really need to run one coax line to...

    Splitting signal *after* reciever?

I have been thinking about how to setup the 522. If I understand what I have read in the forums... if I get "two" drops to the receiver at the main TV using a single line and a DP separator from the DP34 switch, I should be able to diplex the TV2 out back into one of the incoming sat lines...

Splitting a single G6 feed for 522 inputs

Shaji- Assuming that you have a DishPro Twin LNB (which has two combined 119/110 outputs) you could run one cable to your 811 and another to your 522 with a DP separator ~$10 (*not a splitter*) which then connects two cables to your reciever. Does that sound right SimpleSimon? Jeff

    DishPro Plus 44 Switch Review

I am not and electrical engineer either... Keith- Did you connect the 921 using two cables and no separator to the switch and update the software? It was mentioned earlier but I didn't ever see you say that you had tried that. I don't think your cable loss theory is the problem. Jeff

Yep! I haven't hooked them up yet (just closed) but I have eight channels to the home entertainment center in the living room, and then another 12 channels through the house from the computer for MP3s, etc. Thanks for the input.

How do I hook up twelve rooms?

NO! I don't plan on having a tv in every possible location, but I AM trying to understand the technology so that I could if I wanted to. I will probably only have two maybe three at first.

How do I hook up twelve rooms?

Alright you satellite freaks... try this one. I just built a new house and I have a cable bundle of two cat5e and one coax to every room in the house, sometimes two in a room. (They are terminated at a four port keystone which works really nice with just one j-box and a single plate...

Upgrading System from legacy Dish 500

Legacy LNB Thanks for the info guys! As usual, however, your answers have given me more questions... I believe I have the "twin" LNB setup because I have an external switch, as you described. I then have a single cable running to the reciever. So, are you saying I need another switch to go...

Upgrading System from legacy Dish 500

Alright, I know this has probably been asked a billion times, but I can't find the answer, so here it goes again: I have had my Dish 500 dual LMB and i-don't-know-how-old receiver forever. Can I just get a new 522 and hook it up? I saw one on EBay for $99. I recently moved to a new home...
