Possible to disable receiver backfeed? Messing with my Cable channels

Ah OK, misunderstood then about the Pro Plus. So it's all set up now and everything works great, even the two tuners in the 625. So right now I've got a 625 (2 tuners), a 2800, and cable (Analog, Digital, Internet, & HD) all working fine. The cable amplifier and the 625 line is using...

Possible to disable receiver backfeed? Messing with my Cable channels

Holland DPD2 I bought them from http://www.swidendist.com, they had them cheaper than on eBay. As for the frequency ranges, I assume they're the normal Cable and Dish ranges (e.g. ~40-850 & ~950-2150 respectively). I'm not installing a Pro Plus but a DPP44 switch, so once that's done...

Possible to disable receiver backfeed? Messing with my Cable channels

Problem fixed, I replaced the PVDP3 diplexers with Holland Blues, I guess the PVDP3s bleed a little on their power passing? Not sure, but at least my cable channels are fine now and the 625 works great too with no other changes.

    Help

I'm not positive on this, double check with somebody else, but wouldn't it be possible to diplex a second output from the dp34 switch onto a cable line that goes into the second room for the new receiver? Only one line from the dish to the switch, but 2 outputs from the switch diplexed onto the...

Possible to disable receiver backfeed? Messing with my Cable channels

OK, some clarification, guess I typed it out too fast. The 625 has 2 inputs, TV1 and TV2. Right now I only have TV1 hooked up via the diplexer, TV2 isn't hooked up at all, will install the separater once I get a DPP44 switch. So right now I have the 625 set to single mode. The problem is...

Possible to disable receiver backfeed? Messing with my Cable channels

Works fine with my older 2800 receiver, it's the 625 that's causing the problems with a few channels. It should work since cable and Dish are on separate frequencies, I don't understand why it wouldn't work.

Possible to disable receiver backfeed? Messing with my Cable channels

Hi, I hooked up a 625 today to a room. I've got the dish sending a signal into my home, combining it onto the single line into my house, then diplexing it and sending one line to the 625 and the other to my Comcast cable box. Problem is, when I hook up the 625, some of my cable channels...

My current and proposed dish connection (gifs included)

True, it is overkill now that you mention it, but getting another line from the Dish to the rear of the house would be more of a hassle, plus I was able to get a Quad LNBF (used) and a DPP44 (new) both for ~$140 shipped, so not that huge of a loss I think. Rewiring a dual-tuner to another room...

My current and proposed dish connection (gifs included)

Ah OK, didn't catch your drift there. Yeah, but the Quad is here and I'm a lazy impatient guy, plus I got it kinda cheap on ebay anyway, so it's no biggie. Yup, the Quad says DP and has that black logo, so it should be good to go. Now I just need to figure out how to remove the Dual and...

My current and proposed dish connection (gifs included)

Well I already bought the Quad off ebay when customer service told me I needed it and with the DPP44 now, it'll be easier to add another receiver in the future, otherwise I'll either have to buy a switch or replace the LNBF again. Plus, I don't have to bring another line from the Dish into the...

My current and proposed dish connection (gifs included)

Thanks to Iceberg for the amazing help. Now I think I have an idea of what I can do. Got a proposed diagram, but first, here is some background: My parents currently have a Dish Dual LNBF hooked up to a Dish 2800, diplexed with Comcast's cabling in our house. They ONLY use Dish for...

International Channels only receiver addition...totally lost

So I can't output 2 cables from my Dual LNBF to both the 2800 and the 625? If not, then I guess I have 2 options: 1) Buy a DPP44 and hook up my Quad LNBF 2) Replace my 2800 with a 311 and hook up my Quad LNBF Am I right in thinking #2 would be the cheaper option?

It says DishPro with the black logo.

International Channels only receiver addition...totally lost

Great, thanks again. Guess I'm going to replace my dual lnbf with a quad lnbf and bring in another line to my house this weekend. Hopefully no problems running the 2800 and the 625. I'm hoping I don't need a switch, cause right now I don't have any.

International Channels only receiver addition...totally lost

Well hooking up the 625 to the second tv will be a pain, it's all the way downstairs, it's probably worth just paying the extra $5/month. So I can just go outside, replace my dual LNBF with the quad, bring in a second line to the house and be good to go? No switches necessary then? Will a...

International Channels only receiver addition...totally lost

Also, just wanted to mention, the 2nd tuner in the DISH 625 doesn't have to be used. It definitely isn't going to be connected to another room, but if it's possible to PIP, then I might as well.

International Channels only receiver addition...totally lost

Hi, I'm trying to add an additional receiver at my parents home. They've had DISH for about 5-6 years now and they only use it for International channels (61.5 I think). They have local cable for everything else. They wanted to watch the DISH channels on another tv and wanted DVR too...
