There are over 40 HD OTA channels in LA?? What are they? We've got some independent digital channels in Atlanta that are mostly religious programming, but they're not HD. Maybe that's what you're referring to. If so, I doubt that many people are going to care about not having access to that...

I don't think this is HD Sports Guide fault--I'm pretty sure this game was on in HD on the NFL Network, but as D* customers we didn't get it. Those with E*or cable with NFL Net HD most likely were able to see it in HD yesterday.

Since these will be leased you wouldn't be able to sell them on Ebay, would you?

Atlanta has UPN-HD which will become the CW on D* currently.

I think what he's asking is would D* let him out of his 2 year contract because he can't get a signal. Also, it takes a lot to find a perfect house--he may not have the option of making his decision based on satellite coverage. (I know I wouldn't base that expensive of a decision on it, at least).

The only time I've really been able to tell much of a difference was during the World Cup. I noticed a bit more "swimming grass" viewing through D* than I did OTA. I have a 46" DLP. For the most part it looks the same, though.

I actually had a different experience....when I upgraded my dish to the AT-9 the installer left the diplexor hooked up and it still worked. I ended up unhooking it when I moved that receiver to a different TV, but it definitely worked.

Unfortunately, I'm not an Atlantan originally, so I don't even really like the Braves. But it's still nice having more HD sports options!

So I'm in Atlanta and have this on 96 also....how does this work? Will those in other markets see different games scheduled on 96? What does someone not in Atlanta see on 96 right now?

I checked last night and there seem to be new channels around the 645 range that read FSS-a, etc. They don't have any listings, (it says To Be Announced) so this could be where they are putting the HD versions of the RSN's.

I think Turner South HD games are only available through cable, and definitely not OTA. TBS is available through both, I believe.
