UPDATE: Installer came on Saturday... and in 2 minutes had found a line of site! I have my HD now!!! HURRAY!!! I now have 2 Dish 500's (one for the 119 and 110 and one for the 120).

I must agree with bhelms. My home theatre reacts the same when I watch/listen to anything that is digital 5.1 compared with SD channels. When watching a DVD, I always have to turn up the volume. And now with HD, I have to do the same.

Me too... long time subscriber and love it! So do you think I should just call Dish, tell them I want to buy the receiver and subscribe to whatever HD channels I can? Is Dish selling these now for $429?

Yes, however since I did not previously have HD, Dish will only set me up with the 'new' HD setup on the 129 (at least that's what I understand from this awesome forum).

I know, it sounds crazy, but I have a 622 (couldn't get an HD signal) and decided to just keep the receiver. I've been wanting to upgrade to a 2 tuner dvr. Well the Dish guy left (no HD signal) and of course afterward I thought... why not just keep the receiver? We'll be moving soon and...

That's a good idea... but if it's setup that way, you can't enjoy the dual tuner in one room, can you? For instance, in the living room, you want to do the whole 'watch one live show while recording another' if it's set up that way, right? Thanks in advance...just weighing my options :)
