Folks, Is there anyway to know if the spotbeam fix will effect all markets? Or even which ones are now a go? I live in Southern California and was scheduled to get local HD a year ago. Then, my city was removed from the list. Is there anyway to tell if our region was "fixed"?

I don't have the service plan, but I'm confident I can fix the alignment issue myself. I have a question though. Why would the alignment issue effect one DVR, but not the other?

Very good point and I've thought about that myself. Its the HD DVR, the black model. Far as I know, it was given to someone who doesn't know what to do with it. hhhmmmmnnn...now that I think about it, that's sounds pretty lame. I guess I should ask them to define "given" before I buy it off of them.
