    Thanks for the feedback thus far. The Joey interface shows a wireless connection strength of between 50-60. This doesn't seem to change around when events are occurring. I'm thinking of trying the suggestion of upgrading the access point. I'd like one with 1000m LAN ports anyway.

    I think you will be happy. I switched from AT&T dsl/phone to Charter Internet/cell at 15mps about 3 years ago. Price is cheaper as I always had the cell and the performance/uptime has been far better.

    Charter is the only cable provider in the area and their service is awful. As far as I understand it they offer no HD whatsoever. Maybe you could get service from whoever provides cable to Osooyos.

    The program is in limited beta at the moment meaning they are allowing a slow trickle of people. You should get a invitation via email when you are able to access the service. It took nearly three weeks for my invitation when I signed up however this was more than a month ago.

    6 days doesn't seem like a big deal to me. I had to wait 4 when we had some serious winds that knocked my dish out of alignment. Believe it or not I actually survived. Sure I sat drooling and staring at a black screen for those 4 days but I made it.
