I've had an Nvidia Shield Pro since it launched in 2019 and it's hands down the best streaming device I've ever owned. Still as fast and snappy today as it was when it was new.
I think I'm going to reset the box to factory settings when I get home. It is connected to the internet but it keeps telling me it's not when I check for an update.
Just bought a Zapperbox M2 to try it out and it does give me a few more channels than my Mediasonic Homeworx tuner. My question is that the ATSC 3.0 channels have a blue key next to them and only show a black screen when I tune to them. Is that the DRM encryption? I thought the Zapperbox would...
It appears to be read only except for 5 minutes after every hour. I'm guessing the site is on its last legs. Many users have moved over to broadbandbulletin.com.
Ridiculous. YTTV is now more than double the price from when it first launched. No wonder so many people have decided to say the hell with it and sail the high seas instead.
I got to enjoy Spectrum Fiber for about a year before Hurricane Helene destroyed the entire infrastructure in my area of Western NC. I've been out since 9/27 and they have no time frame as to when service will be restored. Good thing I kept my Starlink!
Good luck with that. The Tablo 4th generation is total garbage. I've tried 2 of them and they both lasted about a week before they stopped connecting to my network. I kept having to reset them to factory settings. Both went back for a refund.
Starlink is very reliable. I've had it since beta and kept it as a backup even though I now have fiber. So far my fiber has had more outages in a year than I had with Starlink in 3 and a half years.
Amazon will probably never be a viable competitor to Starlink. Project Kuiper has only launched 2 prototype satellites and those have already been decommissioned. The only way they're going to be able to start doing regular launches is with SpaceX rockets and Bezos isn't about to ask Elon for help.
Many people prefer Verizon due to their coverage. In my area T-Mobile is non-existent outside cities and towns. ATT just recently improved their coverage in these parts within the last year or so. Around here Verizon is king.
I've seen the first 3 episodes and they are absolute garbage. Terrible writing and terrible character development. Andor and the first 2 seasons of The Mandalorian are the only live action Star Wars shows that are worth a damn.
Maybe it is stereotypical, but there's also quite a bit of truth to it. I have 2 neighbors in their 80's who still pay all their bills via snail mail. They refuse to do anything online or by automatic draft.
