If you can't see them and they don't run, does it really matter? There are ways to remove most of them though by jail breaking the OS.

I would like to see all locals on "must carry" with no fee or a minimal fee at best. As it is, the fees are negotiated, so they are what they are. We've all seen what happens when the stations hold all the cards though.

It confuses our guests sometimes, when they see the Roku TV logo on the front and then the TV boots up with the Firestick logo on the screen. :)

That's possible and I don't notice because our Firesticks shut off with the TV's, shutting everything in the background down of course. Our primary Firestick 4K/16 also has an added 64 meg of external memory that helps I'm sure. I'll look into it when we're not in the middle of watching a program.

Firesticks are similar to the Roku in that respect. Just hit the home button to exit the app you're currently using. I'm even using a Firestick on our new Roku TV to bypass the onboard apps along with being able to use it with an HDMI splitter.
