The tech checked to see if I had the latest software release, so I could be SOL. Hopefully the new DVR will make a difference; but I won't be surprised if not. I can get an upgrade to a 44 in September based on my account info.

I called about my NBC issue; but they never asked if it was just on one channel. So they are sending me another DVR. I am assuming that they will just send another 34 rather than a 44. Hopefully, if it is a 34, it doesn't have the same issues with NBC.

Thanks for the suggestion; but I am not a good liar. :D I will however start complaining about the issue, just not mention it is only on NBC, so I have a history of problems. That way, perhaps I will be able to get a 44 due to chronic issues on the 34.

We also have the same issues; but only with NBC on our 34. I was going to complain to D that my Genie had issues; but assumed that since it was only on one channel it was the local station. It makes my wife want to quit D when our contact is up. I can put up with it, since D is so much better...

I am glad you said that, since I was going to put that in my post also. I look at my phone constantly for weather, so I don't need the weather channel unless there is some severe weather going on.

I have the 34 with a Mini. I expect the Mini to be slower than the 34 itself; but am curious for those that have upgraded to a 44, does your Mini work any better with the 44 than it did with the 34?
