    thanks for the response. I have tried unplugging the EHD and I do have the plug-in from archos. the Archos is also powered when I plug it in. The strange part is how this worked a few months ago and not now.

    I have a Archos 605 that upto a few months ago worked with both my 622 and 722. But now when I plug it in to download, the DVRs don't recognize the unit. The unit states "no media device is plugged in" when I try to upload. I tried a friends Archos and this usb cable with no luck I have...
