If you are going to the Genie and Genie Minis, you will have issues with the connections. The Genie Minis are very small, and as such only have HDMI output.

Thanks, that is what I remembered. So, right now I have one DVR (x2 tuners) and four receivers, for a total of (6) tuners. If I upgraded to a Genie, that would add three tuners for a total of (9), requiring a SWM 16 upgrade. Does the internet connection also take up one of the SWM outlets?

I believe that was part or all of the problem. Now that there is nothing on the DVR, perhaps that is why the box is working again? Is it possible to swap out the drive, or will an external drive be a possible work around? Is the issue most likely a physically failing hard drive?

It looks like that resolved the issue, at least for now. It has been rebooting and repairing errors several times over the last few days. When it would finally seem to be working I would turn the TV on just to find that it was stuck on whatever channel it was on and would eventually...
