Dish will replace your purchased receiver with the same receiver model and it will remain your property. It's been that way for a decade.

I upgrade people every day. There's always exceptions, and it sometimes depends on who you get on the phone to make those exceptions. The standard fees of $15 for a hopper, $10 for hopper duo, $10 for super joey and $7 for a joey, leased or owned, are from Dish, not me. Anything you get cheaper...

The more expensive the device, the more headaches it produces. Every time. I've had zero problems with Google and Linksys wifi6 mesh systems.

Nothing. Your Ubiquiti router is fine, it just doesn't understand the hopper 3 and it's separate IPs for the joeys. It thinks it's a rogue gateway or something. Turn off the threat scanner and you're good.

YES!!! Ubiquiti. This is why you're losing internet on your joeys. Go into the ubiquiti settings and turn OFF the threat scanner. I learned this a couple years ago with one of my customers.

Ok, but again, are you using the tv speakers or a soundbar or stereo? What is the flow from the hopper to the sound? ex. Hopper-hdmi to tv-optical to soundbar, or Hopper-hdmi to audio receiver- hdmi to tv. Or is it just Hopper- hdmi to tv.

You absolutely can sell them. You own them. But the sucker that buys them won't be able to activate them, most likely. This is why purchasing receivers from 3rd parties is risky. It doesn't make business sense for Dish to allow used receivers to be sold and activated on different accounts. They...
