Joe, thanks for the quick response. So regardless of if you buy the recorder from DirectTV or elsewhere, you still pay the $6/mo recorder fee. I told that to my inlaws but they didn't believe me. I really dont see the advantage to what they did. 1) Your already paying for the recorder and...- Z06
