Problem with using DVR functions and audio/video skipping

Yes, I have had a similar problem on my 612 and just started 3 days ago. Watching a program, the screen freezes and then starts again, but I miss a few seconds of programming. When I rewind the DVR the pause and freeze are still there. I haven't called Dish yet, as I did a reboot and it...

    Picture Freezes

On 3 channels it happened. I didn't try all the others. No weather problems here, also.

    Picture Freezes

Things have been going great with my 612VIP. But then a problem popped up. Picture freezes for a second and then starts again. When I rewind DVR it's still there at the same moment as when I watched it on live TV. Did a reboot and the problem went away. But the next day same problem...

Pixelation On Live TV, But Not Recorded

Is it possible to get pixelation on shows when watching live TV, but when recording those same shows the pixelation is not their on the DVR playback? On Sunday and Tuesday I had pixelation issues on 2 HBO channels: HBOW and HBOSG. Is this possible? I have a 612VIP.

    612 locks up or freezes

A quick followup. In the last 2 days my 612 has been freezing more, and not when I'm fast forwarding. Just at random times during a program.

    612 locks up or freezes

Yes, soft reboot means holding the power button down. Hard reboot means unplugging the AC power. Usually a soft reboot will solve my problem.

    612 locks up or freezes

Mine doesn't lock up or freeze, but I have had the box for 2 months and I get pops and clicks every once in a while. It's definitely coming from the box, because after a soft reboot it goes away. I've had this problem right from the moment I got the box. Probably have done at least 5 reboots...

    Michael Jackson Memorial Feed

Dish Network had video problems during Stevie Wonder's performance on CNN. Definitely was CNN as it also occurred on my other HDTV.

    FoxHD Problems

The screen flashes for a second, but you don't lose sound. Kind of like a flashbulb going off. It's happened on my local FoxHD, and it appears that others might be having this problem as well.

    FoxHD Problems

I know this topic has been brought up in other threads, but I just bought 2 new HDTV's, so I'm curious for any new info on my problem. At first I thought it was my new HDTV, but then I noticed it on my smaller HDTV. The local FoxHD channel here in Monterey/Salinas has an occassional screen...

    Flashes While Watching Programs

I do have an HDMI cable hooked up to my TV, but it's a standard size one not the longer one they sell. I could try a reboot if the problem continues. I'm hoping it's just a dvr/channel problem. I did some google research and some people seem to be calling the problem "white sparkles". That's...

    Flashes While Watching Programs

I do have an HDMI cable hooked up to my Sony52 inch, but it's not the longer one they sell, but a standard size. I could try a reboot. And I should note that while I stated it is a flash, it is definitely not a freeze of audio problem with the picture.

    Flashes While Watching Programs

I do have an HDMI cable hooked up to back of the 52 inch TV (Sony) , but it's not the long cable they sell, but a standard size. I had the dvr hooked up a week after I bought the TV, in early May. I'm hoping it's a dvr and/or channel issue. I did a reboot (turning off for 10 seconds) tonight...

    Flashes While Watching Programs

I do have an HDMI hooked up to my dvr, but it's not a long hookup, basically a standard HDMI cable. It's a Sony 52 inch that I bought in early May. The DVR was hooked up a week later. I'm hoping it's just a DVR or channel issue. And tonight I did a reboot (turning off the dvr). The HDMI...

    Flashes While Watching Programs

I have a 612VIP DVR, but I don't know if its the DVR or the broadcast channel that is causing my problem. While watching A&EHD tonight I got an occasional flash on screen every 5 minutes or so. It's like somebody taking a picture with a flash bulb. I was not live TV when this happened. This...
