OK, it looks like it was a checkswitch issue. I had it aimed correctly. I took the receiver back to my place and did a check switch there. When all 3 locations locked in, I took it back up to her place and it locked in, without even having to move the dish. All 3 locations are now working at her...

No, I'm using the skew settings for the 211 receiver, selecting Superdish as my antenna. Skew setting is 116 degrees according to my zip which is the same as the set up at my place.

Well, I spent over an hour in the cold and with no luck. I again pulled the dish off and checked the mast. Perfectly plum. I scanned at 29 degrees elevation and from there, went up 1/2 degree each time (up to almost 40). Every time I get a tone, it lands on the same spot where it locks in 129...

Right, the check switch screen was showing 129 - OK, 119 - OK and 110 - X. I'm going to head back over there and try again. I think I'll also try the tin foil idea that others have tried in other threads. I'm glad it's 10 degrees out!

Sorry, I meant the 211. I've check the mast and it's true on both directions. I've swapped the LNB with my dish (also 1000.2) and the problem stayed with the dish. Does it seem strange that the receiver is locking in on 119 and 129 but for 110, showing 129 - wrong sat?

Up until about 5 years ago, I was an installer for a small home theater group and during that time, installed over 50 Directv/Dishnetwork systems. Even though I haven't installed many multi LNB antenna's I understand the concept quite well. My Mother just had a small section of residing done...

    Multi-Dish Installation

Can you elaborate "connect through the power line"? They will both have ethernet connections from the same internet sourse, is there something else they do to communicate?

    Multi-Dish Installation

I really don't need to use a local installer, I was actually an installer for Directv for about 8 years so I'm quite familiar with aspects of installation. I'm just looking to find out if there's anything Dishnetwork equipment uses like a unique number that the receivers read from the LNB's that...

    Multi-Dish Installation

I thought of that but my Wife and Mother-in-law both shot that down. We have all underground wiring so they are strongly against have over head wiring.

    Multi-Dish Installation

I understand that Dishnetwork might be confused by this so what I planned to do is let them install the one dish on the house with the two receivers. Once they've left, I planned on buying an additional Dish 1000.2 antenna ($85) and install that myself and move the second receiver over to the...

    Multi-Dish Installation

I have a somewhat unique situation. I am about to order the Dish HD package with 2 ViP722 HD receivers. Our house has a barely attached guest house where my Mother-in-law lives. When the guest house was built (4 years ago), they didn't run any RG-6, only power and phone. There is a large...
