i did switch test and it comes up with 1,2,3.... of 38. Once it finishes it says no switch detected. I replaced both ends and I get same outcome. I'm going to get another cable and see what that does. The current wire is running under the house and I don't know what the condition of it is...

i wanna make sure I'm doing the elevation correctly. What do I line the number up with on the left hand side? I need the numbers of the elevation but do not see any markings to line it up with. Some say to use the nut, some say to use the bracket edge. Just want to clarify.

i tested the cable by switching the one hooked up to the LNBs and used it as the one that goes to the tv. i get the dish network logo fine and am able to navigate through to get the switch test screen so I guess the cable is fine. I have no other splices on that cable, just straight connection...

i have a dish 500 satellite dish and am needing to know what I need to be looking at when lining the elevation. What do I need to be lining the numbers up with? There is not a groove like the skew has to line it up with.
