    There was the Zenith Sat 520 HD that went for around $800 (the comparable Sony was $200 more) but I can't remember if that was a DVR or not. Still, the point is that every couple of years a new must have receiver comes out from D* and they aren't cheap.

    Oh yeah, that's another gripe. How many models now have they come out with that we're forced to pony up up to a $1000 to get all their new HD channels? The HR20 is the third, no? Can't remember the model number of the one before the HD10-250, but it ran about $1000. Thank God I'm a valued customer.

    Sorry, don't know what you mean by that. I've gone through four of these already and now this one is acting up. This is the machine Directv put out there when they got rid of TiVo? You gotta be kidding me! It's downright prehistoric by comparison. Between their DVR issues and the damn rain...

    Hi, I want to add my two line HR-10-250 to my existing and totally crappy two line Directv HR20 so I can record four shows at once, all in HD if neccessary. I asked around about a year ago and was told that there was a multi switch in the works to handle this task but it wasn't available yet...
