    FCC significantly viewed stations

http://www.fcc.gov/mb/significantviewedstations022509.pdf Are cable companies required to carry every station listed for each county? I ask because Charter doesn't carry one that is listed for my county. If they're supposed to be to carrying it, should I contact Charter or the station...

Charter will file Chap 11 Bankruptcy

I was hoping Comcast or someone else would buy Charter, but I've come to the realization that, as bad as Charter is, some other cable company would be just as bad, if not worse than Charter. Better the devil you know.

NFL moving the Pro Bowl to the open week before the Super Bowl ...

No. The players on the Super Bowl teams won't be allowed to play even if they wanted to.

RCN forces cable boxes on customers!

I disagree. The cable companies cut off analog channels and don't lower the cable bill, while requiring the customer to pay for a digital cable box to view the channels that were just taken away from analog cable. I would call that robbery.

The MLB Network starts Jan. 1

Everybody who is willing to pay a digital cable box rental fee to their cable company. Because, in my opinion, it's a virtual certainty that it won't be on analog expanded basic cable like ESPN is. Therefore, the cable co. will charge for the cable box in order for viewers to receive the...

Mark Cuban not likely to buy Cubs

It seems to me that there's some illegality about MLB preventing the Tribune Co. from selling the Cubs to exactly whom they want to.

    Fox Sports Tennessee

I've read that FS Tennessee is going to have local Tennessee-related sports programming, so it's going to be a full-time channel at some point. It doesn't make sense to create a new channel and just have it part-time.

    fyi...fsn carolinas

FSN South has created an FSN Tennessee, as with FSN Carolinas it's a rebranding in name only at the moment. It is referred to that way during Predators games and will be during Grizzlies games. I hope soon it becomes identified as FSN Tennessee all the time, not just during games. Also, I...

Do you believe that teams improve when they change their logo/uniform?

The Houston/Tennessee Oilers were bad for a while, but when they became the Titans in 1999, they went to the Super Bowl. So to answer the topic question....yes....yes, I do.

FSN may get rid of national programming

I don't think FSN cutting out national programming would be a big deal. RSNs did fine without it before FOX bought them all. All it means is they'll have to produce more local programming specific to the network, which is what I want to happen.

FSN may get rid of national programming

I like most of FSN's current national shows. Even "The Best Damn Sports Show Period" has been watchable lately. At the very least, they should at least stop rerunning shows of which they no longer make new ones. "Beyond the Glory", for example.

    fsn oklahoma

The Memphis Grizzlies and Nashville Predators get treated like crap by FSN South, or FS South as the on-screen graphic now says. The Grizzlies get a pre-game show and that's it, no post-game show or other team-related programming. The Predators only get a post-game show, no pre-game. But they...

    New Giants Stadium

I thought the Jets didn't get a Manhattan stadium because it was going to be the Olympic Stadium and New York lost out on the 2012 Games.

Which athlete has the hottest wife/girlfriend in sports?

Memphis Grizzlies guard Marko Jaric's fiance is Victoria's Secret model Adriana Lima. I don't have a picture to post, but search the internets, they're not hard to find.

SEC To Announce ESPN Television Deal This Week

That depends on what you call "third tier". Raycom is going to broadcast Alabama-Birmingham vs. Tennessee. Since I'm a Tennessee fan and want to watch it, I don't consider it "third tier". If that game were on ESPNU next season it would be bad because I don't have access to that channel like I...

SEC To Announce ESPN Television Deal This Week

Basically ESPN is replacing Raycom in regards to syndicating games? I was thinking that games fomerly on Raycom would go to ESPNU, which I don't have access to unless I pay rent for a digital cable box. I think that's a rip-off.

SEC To Announce ESPN Television Deal This Week

Some schools have tv deals separate from the conference. Tennessee with SportSouth and Florida with FSN Florida that I know of. So FSN isn't completely left out in the cold.

    NBA allows in-market streaming

It should be separate. I can't get League Pass because it's not available through my cable company, but I would buy League Pass broadband if it were available. The NBA would make more money selling them separate anyway.

    Your Regional Sports Network

I get FSN South and SportSouth. SEC and ACC sports MLB- Cardinals, Reds, Braves NBA- Grizzlies NHL- Predators The MLB teams have pre-game and post-games shows, the Grizzlies have pre-game but no post-game, and the Predators only have a pre-game show at home, no pre-game on the road or...

    New Channels

Yeah, I prefer to talk to them, instead of someone thousands of miles away. When I canceled my digital cable, I didn't call anyone. I just unhooked my box, took it to the office and cancelled it then and there. That way, I know it's been done.

    New Channels

The office still is there, but when you call the number in the phone book a recording says to call the 1-800 number. I've went to the office and talked to them in person instead of calling the 1-800 number, which would connect me to India or somewhere.
