    I believe he said his locals do broadcast in HD, but are not carried by DTV. Therefore he's not eligible for the DTV national HD channels. His only option is to get them OTA. If he had no OTA access to HD, wouldn't he be eligible for the DTV nationals?

    Local HD via Satellite?

    Sure you can put the OTA into your tv, but you do lose the ability to record the OTA via your DVR. That would be a deal breaker for me. Fortunately, I've got the HR20.

    Directv and Moving

    I was thinking of doing this, but I also have their protection package which costs about $5 a month, but they'll come out and fix anything, even power surge damage. If I "moved" and then had a problem, I'd have to change my address before calling them. BTW, you can't change your service...
