I am sticking it out with DirecTV until the A's move to town. Giants fan in Las Vegas and they are considered in market. Them, as well as the A's, DBacks, Dodgers, Padres and Angels. Dodgers aren't available anywhere but DirecTV, DBacks and Padres belong to MLB and require the $19.99/month...

The obvious reason to record is the ability to skip commercials. Most on-demand content eliminates fast-forward. This becomes even more problematic when you stop a program at the end of one day and want to pick up the following day. It's a crap shoot if you'll be able to forward to the point...

Just had the option of setting up profiles on my DTV Stream account on my google chromecast. This is going to be a great addition to my household!

I tried calling and was told they couldn't get the system to work because it was getting an update. That was after a five minute hold. They certainly aren't making this easy.

Should update to include most (if not all) ABC affiliates on DirecTV Stream.

To be clear on ABC, if you have satellite and are not in an O&O market, you still get ABC. If you are on stream, the rights for ABC are negotiated at ABC for all affiliates. Same for Fox, NBC and CBS. Stream gets affected when network owners are in a dispute.

In Las Vegas, the DBacks channel has been part of the RSN package for years. When they split away from Bally, the DBacks MLB channel became part of the package. They even launched the channel on opening day this year. Yesterday, I noticed the channel missing. I wrote in on the DirecTV Stream...

Cleaned up the thread nicely with "ignore". On the topic...MLB claimed that there would be no blackouts with their broadcast. I have MLB.tv and live in Vegas. I am blacked out from the broadcast. Hoping they would just allow the game to be shown in market, but apparently not.
