I'm just a self reliant kind of guy. I enjoyed installing the old system and think I should be able to do so again. Also if I do it myself I'll know it's been done to meet my standards and should it need repairing I could do that too. My only worry is the added complexity of the new dishes...

Six years ago I installed my own DIRECTV system. Based on what I've been reading, the new systems are more advanced and harder to install. First, is it still possible to acquire and install the stuff yourself? Second, are installation instruction available on-line anywhere? Thanks, Mike
