    no smart card?!!

    i opened up my reciever's smart card slot and to my surprise, there wasn't one there. is the memory stored on the hard drive or what?

    hard reset

    i'm having trouble with my dvr. it locks up after about 1 minutes use. i've tried unplugging it but it still locks up. is there a way to hard reset the machine? i've tried to reset to the original factory options but that doesn't work either. any ideas?
