So if I hook up a dish network 500 dish with dual lnb to my samsonic bs-8100, then I should be able to get the direct tv channels that are sent free right?

woops my bad I'm sorry the lnb is not direct tv, it is "dish network canada" expressvu , its pretty old, as for the dish itself there is no writing.
