I did notice this on mine last week .... for most shows it has the default settings, but if I go to record a football game it has End Time set to 60.

I had no idea there were options, I'll take a look. Is there one that is more reliable than others?

Try setting a program to record, but before you select Create Timer, select Options, change the Start/End, select "Set as System Default", Done, Create Timer. This should set the defaults for any new timers, but you may have to edit any existing ones.

My wife uses Closed Caption a lot and lately it gets all messed up on some of her recorded shows. The words come out as random text. We have a VIP722k Dish Receiver. I've tried rebooting which doesn't fix the problem. Other recordings and live TV seem to be working OK. Has anyone come across...

If you like the DTVPAL Plus, check out the DTVPAL DVR. It will record one show while you watch another, or record two shows while you watch a previously recorded show. Or just get a second tuner (DTVPAL Plus) for your recording device.

I just bought the "Antennas Direct C4 ClearStream4 Outdoor Digital HD TV Antenna" from SolidSignal . com (good prices and very helpful) I threw it up in the attic and I'm getting 85% - 90%+ on most stations. Attic installation can cut the signal around 50% so I can't wait to see what it does...

Can't wait!!! With the reviews on their DTVPAL and from what I've seen on other websites, it's basicly a 722 box that only works with OTA. And with no monthly fee's, this is a no brainer. I hope it also comes with the dual output/dual remotes so I can hook up a second SD TV to it as well.
