    And about the high quality way... Yes there is a way...to send full HD quality recordings to your PC. It requires some serious hacking and is still a little bit of a work in progress...but it definitely is being done. Try this if interested...

    No problem... You can split an HDMI output to multiple sources with an HDMI Splitter made just for that task. 1x2 or 1x4 are pretty common. Gefen also makes extenders that allow HDMI to go 150ft over Cat5 or more with fiber optic cable. http://www.gefen.com/kvm/product.jsp?prod_id=2514...

    I saw somewhere else that someone said HR10-250 receivers built after 11-20-2004 supposedly had this fixed. Mine was built Dec. 14, 2004 and it died after about 2 weeks (and probably less than 15 hours of HDMI use). Still deciding if I should wait for D* to get a handle on this problem...
