The satellite at 118° is Anik F3. It belongs to Bell Canada and is entirely leased to Dish. The lease is probably running out and Dish has decided to continue their programming via internet going forward.

Well that figures since I recently upgraded my setup to a SuperDish with 500+ LNB cluster and a DPH42. Oh well, best signal I've ever gotten on 119/110 so no big loss I guess. Is satellite 118 being retired?

Do you mean you need a portable device you can plug in to the LNB and use to measure signal strength while you are adjusting the aim? I have a GT Media V8 Finder, not the best in the world but it only cost about $50 if I remember correctly.

My 722k on WA had alot of the satellite 110 channels pixelating when I left for work at 2pm. Pulled the plug for 10 mins, and ran a check switch. Everything was showing good signal. Then when the acquisition of signal screen got to the second bar it showed a complete loss of signal error...
