Sorry, I misread your post. With the new firmware, all Genpix tuners should be able to tune turbo coded QPSK and the newer Fec rates. If this new chip can as well, it would be great to have an "all-in-one" tuner for PC satellite.

This might be a stupid question, but how do you know that the dish is centered on the motor shaft? My motor has a hole in the shaft that a bolt from the mounting bracket on back of the dish goes through that guarantees the dish is centered on the motor shaft. So how do you know?

Mpeg 4 is progress.....I know there are alot of Mpeg 2 only receivers out there, but this is 2010! It's time to upgrade. Keep in mind that Mpeg 4 will one day be a thing of the past like everything else.

You could just throw a ATSC tuner in your PC and hook it to your TV....then use either windows media center or some other apps such as GBPVR(great for OTA PVR).

I'd have to guess that 90% or more of those 20 Million receivers were bought for illegitimate use! If these receivers were not bought for illegitimate use, then there would be little to no market for FreeDBS. The whole service is based on converting pirates! If it does successfully launch...
