I just moved in with my parents temp (building a house). They have direcTV, while I'm used to Dish. Is there a way to increase the number of hours that show up on the guide grid? It is an HR-23 Receiver, and it only shows 6 lines with 1.5 hours of showtime at once on the guide.

This may just be some "hardball" negotiating tactics being played by TW. From what I've read Cuban says there may still be a chance things will work out. Hopefully so, because TW dropping it would be a big hit to the HDNet channels I would think

I would be pretty mad if I was a Time Warner sub. Imagine all the Japanese MMA and K-1 I would miss, not to mention they have the best MMA recap show Inside MMA on friday nights. HDNet is a must have in our house.

Still having the same problem here as well. I found that it is worse watching shows recorded off of FOX during animation domination. I just started recording fox on sunday nights in SD. That is the only time that I have unbearable sound drop outs.

I also have the Charlotte locals and have not noticed problems like you are describing. I've had audio dropouts, but they say that is a software issue and are working on it.

Yes, I've only noticed it on ABC and FOX as well. But not all the time on FOX! I recorded a football game last Sunday afternoon and it was fine. But the animation that evening was unwatchable!

I too have the same audio issues as you. Local channels on the 118 sat. Mine seem to be in the exact same place every time however. Email dishquality@echostar.com . To make sure they are aware of the issue.

It's terrible. There are 3 or 4 threads about this issue which seems to be in quite a few different markets. Perhaps they're all locals off of a certain sat or something?

I'm having the same issue in Rock Hill (Charlotte market, ViP 722). The problem seems to be the worst on FOX, Family Guy was absolutely unwatchable. I'm not sure how long it has been going on as I haven't watched network television in quite a while. I hope they fix it soon!

I have it hooked up via an optical cable. (722 to Onkyo 505) Here is what is happening: Sometimes Discovery HD transmits DD 2.0 as 5.1 and my receiver does not know what to do with it. Therefore, it only plays sounds out of the left and right speakers. There is dialog, its just not coming...

My receiver is Onkyo as well. Theater dimensional, tv logic, etc don't seem to make it sound any better. I may run a standard RCA cable from the 722 to the onkyo so I can switch to pro logic when this happen as the above poster mentioned.
