Receive that with streaming also, most of the news content via free services, like CBS, ABC and NBC, all offer a 24 hour News Channel/App. Sports is covered by the paid services, which are still less expensive then paid Live TV.

Agreed that most streaming services tend to offer new programming more readily. Guess it just comes down to when the consumer sees that new programming as enough value to support the continued price increases. Time will tell. As for us here, it is OTA, FTA, our library of CDs, DVDs and Blu-rays...

Doesn't surprise me. Promise your service as the low cost alternative to cable, kill off the competition (cable) then charge whatever you want. So one way or another the consumer gets the shaft. :(
