The Joey 4 does 4K AND HDR. One red recording light for 16 tuners?? Autohop IIRC has to be manually inserted into the video stream so it is supremely impractical to implement it on every channel and the wait times are imposed by the networks not Dishes choice.

I sincerely hope it is the Joey 4 and NOT the 4K Joey, which cannot decrypt HDR so you can't watch any of Dish Network's programming on the 540 channels. Unless you record them on the Hopper then play them on the 4K Joey where they will probably be washed out colors and dim picture on the 4K...

There really isn't much need for an ATSC 3.0 dongle for the Hopper3. All your major local channels will be carried over satellite. The ATSC dongle is merely a gratuity from Dish for OTA reception as a backup , but now there is the streaming option. And their current ATSC tuner isn't that great.

The logic is that OTA TV is a major avenue for Emergency Broadcasting and if the channels are DRM'd and your ATSC 3.0 tuner can't display them, it is a public information fiasco and possibly illegal.
